Where: Stowe Dance Academy Studio
Time: 10:00 -12:00 for ages 8 to 11
12:00 – 2:00 for ages 12 and up
(Please note that you must be in attendance for the entire audition for your age group)
Requirements:
An 8 to 11 year old dancer is eligible to audition for T.R.I.P. if she or he takes 4 dance classes per week with at least one class being ballet and another being jazz.
Dancers 12 and older must take 5 classes per week and those must include at least 2 ballet classes and a jazz class.
What to bring:
Ballet shoes and jazz shoes. Please wear jazz pants and a leotard.
What to expect:
The process of auditioning can and should be a positive educational experience. As with any audition or try out, not all who audition will be chosen for a place on the team. Further, some children may find that they have not been placed in the group they anticipated. Regardless of whether one is a mini, junior, teen or senior, T.R.I.P. provides tremendous benefit for the dancer in the forms of additional dance instruction, opportunities to learn challenging choreography, exploration of dance as a competitive sport, and the camaraderie of being part of a team.
*Parents should accompany children to the audition as there is paperwork to be completed and signed by the parent. The audition, however, is closed and parents will not be permitted to watch.
Audition fee is $25.00 per dancer (checks payable to T.R.I.P.)
