A quick trip to NYC!

Some members of our Swedish family came to NYC for eight days of fun! Unfortunately, we could only have 48 hours of NYC fun, but we had a great time! On Wednesday morning, after a late Tuesday TRIP spacing rehearsal, we got in the car and made it to NY in a short 5 1/2 hours! We wasted no time, got out of our travel sweats and into chic New York attire to attend Liana Hunt’s show Mamma Mia on Broadway! It was a great performance...we loved seeing Liana on stage & getting a back stage tour!! Thank you Liana!

The rest of our time in New York consisted of a yummy dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Soho, mani/pedi’s with cousins, exploring the city and shopping on 5th! On Thursday night, we went to a delicious Asian restaurant before attending the premier of “Le Comte Ory” at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center. It was a great experience & we loved supporting Maximilian Schattauer!! Congrats!

Our 48 hours in NYC was filled with family, fun and the arts! We had a great time, got back in time for 3 PM classes at SDA on Friday and a full day of TRIP events on Saturday! Enjoy some pictures from our trip below:

TRIP had a great time at the PULSE!

It was quite a while ago, but the TRIP members who attended The Pulse in Boston had a great time! The girls worked extremely hard, met amazing faculty including Mia Michaels, Cris Judd, Dave Scott, Desmond Richardson, Tyce Diorio & Brian Friedman!! The weekend was filled with new choreography, challenging dances, amazing dancers and lots of fun! Check out the pictures below to see how much fun was had!

Who is excited for…THE PULSE?!?

I just landed in Chicago, went directly to class and haven’t slept much in the past four days...but I am oh so very excited for The Pulse this weekend in Boston! The Pulse is a convention directed by Broadway Dance Center, with teachers from the hit TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance!” I know those of you on vacation, beaching it up, or hitting the slopes are jealous. Its ok, just keep in mind that we will be very sore come this Sunday night! It will be well worth it dancers! Get ready for hard work, amazing choreography, a very professional showcase and a weekend of fun with me in Boston! I can’t wait to see you all again...so soon!

TRIP’s weekend at WCDE

TRIP Dance Company had a very successful weekend at West Coast Dance Explosion in Boston. WCDE faculty was awesome and had some pretty fun dances, Lauren (former winner of SYTYCD) was a nice surprise for all the screaming kids, and was very open to picture taking and giving autographs! The competition went very well, “Rabbit” being the top hit of our SDA night. Everyone did so well and we are very proud of the TRIP dancers, parents and supportive family members!!

*Abby Fitzgeral & Madeline Dwyer are two of WCDE’s 2011 new Elite Dancers!! Congrats ladies!
*Natalie Herwood won a regional scholarship from WCDE!
*Caroline Mallon, Cara Lachtrupp & Eliza Krakower were scholarship finalists!
*TRIP Dance Company won the WCDE sportsmanship award!!
