Being back stage at our show is quite an adventure. To say the least, back stage parents fight over the head-sets. There must be something interesting about the conversation between Helena, David and myself. Anyways, there is much more than head-sets back stage. There are excited, enthusiastic and awesome dancers backstage. Below are a few shots from the endless back stage action and energy....
Send me your pictures, and I’ll add them to the blog! Congrats on a wonderful 2011 show!

Congratulations to all Stowe Dance Academy members, parents, staff and volunteers. What a great success we have had during this years Spring production. We are so very proud of each and every one of you. You should be exceptionally proud! All dancers, parents, volunteers, back stage staff, our lovely Amena, Kari and Bonnie for their orginization!! Thank you David Sullivan for such an organized and beautiful scene...and for watching your first ever SDA production! I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you to the back stage parents for their dedication and patience while on headsets. Thank you to Johnson State College Technical Crew for their dedication in our performance.
We will truly miss our seniors...Abby, Alison & Jenna. You three have been such important parts of SDA & TRIP, and we will truly miss your presence. I speak on behalf of every SDA member, when I say that you are loved here and have taught us so very much. Jenna and Alison; we will miss your spark, enthusiasm and energy during class, teaching and around the studio. You have both become such vital parts of our teaching staff, and within our student community. I wish you all the best. Alison, I will see you in Chicago, so I can’t say that I will miss you much, however...Jenna, I wish so all the best in your studies of teaching dance. It will be challenging, as I know, but keep up with it, and I know you will succeed.
Abby...since the day you began here at SDA, you have made your mark as an exceptional dancer, student, role model and friend. I can not imagine a life within SDA without you. Our students will truly miss your presence, and I can confidently state that both my mother and I will miss you forever. We are so very proud of you, all that you have accomplished, and the person you have come to be. We love you.
We love all of you. Congratulation on a job well done. Be so proud of yourselves Abby, Alison & Jenna! You deserve only the best!
It was truly a great production, and without the help, support and energy from each and every SDA member and community member, it would not be possible!
Thank you for all! Here are a few pictures to being enjoying and reminiscing the fun weekend of Beauty & the Beast.

As you all know, Beauty and the Beast, our 2011 Spring production is near, and our littlest students had the treat of trying on their costumes!! Boy do they look excited! These little munchkins will be “Love” in the performance, and dance while Belle and the Beast fall in love, or shall I say, Belle falls for the big scary monster! It is going to be a great show. I can’t wait to see these little munchkins! I already love them!

The TRIP Dance Company Fundraiser took place this past weekend and was an amazing event! If you missed it, I’m very sorry. We were lucky to perform at the new Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center at Stowe Mountain Resort. Congrats to all dancers and those involved in the performance/production process! It was a great show!
A few thank you’s:
Thank you to Nancy Krakower for her amazing work, dedication and support for the company! This event, and many others would not be possible without Nancy! Thank you to Marsha Mallon for being the shows very successful producer! It was an important show, and Marsha did a great job producing, keeping things organized and running!
Thank you Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center for giving us the great opportunity of performing on your wonderful new stage! It was a pleasure for Helena, the dancers and myself to be in the space! We were so proud to be Stowe’s first local performance and can’t wait to work with SPPAC and the fabulous technical crew again!! Thank you David Rowell and SPPAC’s founders and board of directors!
Last but not least, thank you Helena (mom), for being a great artistic director for TRIP, giving students the opportunity to grow and experience new levels of performing arts. The students of SDA & TRIP are very lucky to have you!
